Cost per page calculator

Example inputs for illustration only. Enter your own prices, yields and workload.

Runs on your device. Inputs are not uploaded or saved. A page means one printed side; a sheet can have two.

Use the correct supply’s price and matching yield. Add one periodic part allocation if the printer requires it. The output distinguishes baseline supplies CPP from paper-inclusive usable-output cost.

Formula and example

Supplies CPP = price ÷ yield + part price ÷ part life. Total per usable side = (supplies CPP + sheet price ÷ sides per sheet) ÷ (1 − unusable-output share). With hypothetical $60 supplies, 3,000 sides, no periodic part, $0.01 paper, simplex and no waste: $0.02 supplies and $0.03 including paper.

What this assumes

Yield inputs are declared or user-assumed printed sides, not guaranteed output. Paper consumption assumes the selected sides per sheet. Waste means unusable output as a share of all output, so 10% waste is a division by 0.9. The baseline supplies line remains before that adjustment.

Hardware, electricity, repair, tax, delivery and subscription charges are excluded. Color-set inputs need a consistent yield basis. Do not put a document yield into a photo estimate. For several periodic components, disclose and sum their allocations separately. Read the full method before reporting the result.
