Cookies and Browser Storage

Effective October 6, 2026. Guides and calculators do not need optional analytics. The tools do not store your calculation values. This page describes the storage used by the site’s own features and potential configured analytics.

Essential functions

WordPress uses cookies for administrator authentication and can use a test cookie on its login page. Cloudflare may set security cookies when its security features require them. These are distinct from advertising tracking. No reader registration or comment feature is enabled.

Privacy preference

The browser can store pul-analytics-choice in localStorage with a granted or denied value. This stores your privacy choice, not calculator inputs. The footer’s Privacy choices control lets you revisit the selection when analytics is configured.

Optional analytics

A configured Google Analytics tag loads only after you choose Accept analytics. It can then set cookies such as _ga and a measurement-specific _ga_ cookie. Reject analytics leaves the analytics tag unloaded. Withdrawing permission changes the consent state and removes recognizable first-party GA cookies where accessible; your browser controls can clear any remaining storage.

No active advertising

There are no active ad requests or affiliate cookies at launch. Hidden placement markers do not reserve empty visual space or serve demo advertisements. Advertising requires real approval and an appropriate tested consent setup before it can be enabled.

Manage storage

Use Privacy choices to change optional analytics permission and your browser’s site-data controls to remove saved data. Blocking essential administration cookies may prevent an administrator from logging in. See the privacy policy for contact and provider details.
